FEIDA & HFO hosted Dive Safety Seminar for Qionghai Dive Fishermen

10-12 April : FEIDA and Hainan Department of Fisheries and Oceanography hosted a 3 days Dive Safety Semina cum Workshop for the diving fishermen of Qiong Hai province in Tang Men Kang Village from the 10th to 12th of April. More than 120 fishermen attended the seminar and 20 went diving with us to try SCUBA and modified hookah diving system. The aim of this event is in the hope that the annual casualty rate of 8-10 diving fishermen perishing can be reduced by better equipping them with the necessary knowledge and recommendations. The guest speaker was Dr Lee Yee Chun and Martin Wong.
